Operation Walk

Athletico’s Involvement

Through Operation Walk, Athletico’s physical therapists travel to the world’s poorest countries to provide medical services to those in need.  The citizens of countries such as Nepal are usually unable to afford extensive procedures like knee replacements.  These people make their living doing hard labor and debilitating injuries can be devastating to them and their families.  Athletico helps by rehabilitating patients after they undergo these procedures done by volunteer surgeons.

The Operation Walk team also educates the physical therapists, nurses, and surgeons about the comprehensive treatment of patients undergoing total knee replacements so that they are able to provide continuing care.

Operation WalkProgram Overview
