AthletiCo Reaches Milestone with 1,000th Employee

In December 2007 when AthletiCo hired Jessica Benoit as an athletic trainer, she became more than a valued AthletiCo employee, she became AthletiCo’s 1,000th employee.  This milestone achievement marks the success of AthletiCo’s 16 years of providing quality service to the Chicagoland area.

Jessica, who is a graduate of the University of Vermont (UVM) where she received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, gained her athletic training student experience interning at the RehabGYM, Inc. and with UVM Sport Therapy.  Jessica was also the head athletic training student for UVM’s women’s basketball team.  She is now working as a certified athletic trainer at the AthletiCo Lisle clinic and Glenbard South High School.

“It is a dream come true for a new grad and small-town girl like me,” says Jessica.  “I am still thrilled to even be here, coming from a state with little opportunity for those in the field of Athletic Training, and all of the sudden being given a great career with AthletiCo.”

AthletiCo president and founder, Mark Kaufman, still remembers when he opened the first AthletiCo clinic 16 years ago.  At the time, AthletiCo had only two employees and two affiliations.  Today, AthletiCo has 44 clinics, over 150 affiliations, over 16 specialty programs, and—with the hiring of Jessica Benoit—their 1,000th employee.
