OAK BROOK, Ill. – Midwest-based Athletico Physical Therapy today announced a new sponsorship with the Indiana University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Learfield’s IU Sports Properties. The affiliation marks an exciting addition to Athletico’s robust collaboration with collegiate athletic programs across the country, including five Big Ten universities and the Big Ten Conference.

“IU is a great university with a storied athletic past of great athletes, coaches and teams, as well as top-level academics, and we are looking forward to being part of its future. This relationship is a natural step, as we expand our presence in the state of Indiana.”

“Athletico is very excited to unite with Indiana University under the shared goal of helping individuals perform at their highest level,” said Athletico CEO & President Mark Kaufman. “IU is a great university with a storied athletic past of great athletes, coaches and teams, as well as top-level academics, and we are looking forward to being part of its future. This relationship is a natural step, as we expand our presence in the state of Indiana.”

The multi-year agreement includes digital, radio, in-stadium and facility marketing exposure for Athletico.

“Indiana is proud to welcome Athletico as our newest sponsor,” said Indiana University Deputy Athletic Director, Scott Dolson. “Athletico has long served Indiana University alumni and fans and we are proud of the sponsorship support they provide to IU Athletics and their service to the Bloomington community.”

In addition to the new relationship with the Indiana University Athletics Department, Athletico opened its Bloomington facility in February 2015. This location serves as a convenient resource for Indiana University students and staff, as well as the surrounding communities.

“We love serving Bloomington,” Athletico Facility Manager Steve Sapoznik said. “My wife is a Ph.D. student at the University and is employed at the campus eye clinic, so of course, we are Hoosier fans. I’ve had the pleasure of treating many students and staff throughout the past year and am very excited to show our continued support of IU and the surrounding community.”

Athletico is one of the largest physical therapy providers in the Midwest. It now has more than 350 locations in nine states, including 33 in Indiana, reaching a greater number of patients with a wider range of services.
