I’ve been having some slight back pain ever since I started my new job, yet I don’t really know what could be causing it. I do think it would be a good idea to have it looked at sooner than later. Now going off what you said about cost, there are a few options to choose from. I would probably go with therapy as it is the cheapest one but I’m not ruling out surgery if for some reason the therapy doesn’t work.

Thanks for sharing some interesting ideas on the effects of physical therapy on low back pains! I’ve been experiencing this problem for a while now which is why I was thinking about having it checked. Your advice to try out seeking a physical therapist as they can much more cost-effective is a tip I will heed. Hopefully, they can fix my back problem without a problem. Thanks!

Without specifics regarding your symptoms it may be difficult to give you detailed information but what I can tell you is in the vast majority of individuals engaging in a strength, conditioning and cardiovascular fitness program has been shown to help lower back pain. Hey Becca,
Sorry for the delay in response and thanks for responding to the blog. It is surprising how common lower back pain is, what we are seeing is lower back pain is second only to the common cold for physician visits. What your husband is dealing with is quite common and what we know is most back pain resolves on its own. That being said if he continues to have symptoms for a few weeks it might make sense to have him come in for a complimentary screen. It’s a little bit surprising how common lower back pain is. My husband recently started to have pain in his lower back. Although he says that it doesn’t bother him, I figure that it’s better to find out methods of treating it before it can get any worse.
