I had surgery in the past. I can tell you that swelling, bruising, and pain can be really uncomfortable and can even slow down the healing process. The article I read about Does Kinesio Tape Application Help Following Surgery? does a great job of explaining how the Kinesio Tape application can help with these issues. I love that there are methods like this out there to help with recovery after surgery. Thanks for sharing!

pt has a lot of pain and it is limiting his WB tolerance and ambulation

Hello Pam, we recommend discussing your concerns with your therapist. The treating therapist will appreciate knowing any concerns you may have during your recovery.

My hand is still rather swollen four weeks out. I do still have fairly raw skin at incision site. Can gauze be placed over the wound and still apply the tape?
