Mark Thomas

Mark Thomas serves as Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Athletico, where he leads the organization’s technology strategy, operations, and cybersecurity to support high-quality patient care and scalable growth.

In this role, Mark partners with executive leadership to align technology investments with business priorities, overseeing enterprise IT services, infrastructure, data and analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.

Mark brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience across healthcare and complex enterprise environments. Prior to Athletico, he served as Chief Information Officer for large healthcare and public-sector organizations, where he modernized core systems, strengthened cybersecurity programs, and built high-performing teams focused on business outcomes.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago. Mark is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
