Scott_Sieder_HeadshotScott Sieder, PT, DPT, serves as the facility manager and treating physical therapist at the Oswego facility. Sieder grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is excited to bring his knowledge of the surrounding area to Oswego, while providing exceptional care and guidance towards wellness for Oswego residents. Throughout his youth, Scott was a highly regarded athlete which transferred to a successful collegiate sports career. He led his baseball team to two consecutive collegiate World Series tournaments as the captain, is a two time All-American and two time Academic All-American still holding various records. Scott obtained his undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, IN and went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL.

Scott and his family currently reside in Oswego. Sieder is thrilled to have the ability to provide the local community with a service that helps improve their lifestyle. “I enjoy being a part of the Oswego community by volunteering with several organizations, and couldn’t be happier to provide physical therapy here,” Scott states. Sieder also educates the community with lectures on various health and wellness topics regularly.

While in high school, Scott suffered a leg injury that required physical therapy. His experience with recovering from this injury put him on the path to become a physical therapist. “Athletics allowed me to identify my career at a young age, and now I have the ability to pay it forward. I want to help people get back to the activities they enjoy, just as my physical therapist helped me,” says Sieder.

Scott’s specialties include orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy, sports-specific training, video throwing analysis, and work rehabilitation. Also, Scott is fluent in Spanish to assist any patients that need this service. Sieder finds the same characteristics in his career, that he did when participating in sports. “I am able to combine my high energy personality, love for athletics, and desire to help others,” explains Scott.

Athletico Oswego provides the community quality care and convenience through the following means:

  • Patient outcomes reporting using a third-party outcomes system to provide measurable data on a patient’s progression that is discussed throughout the course of treatment
  • Patient satisfaction reporting throughout treatment in order to better understand and respond to patient needs while they are still receiving rehabilitation services, rather than after a patient is discharged
  • Convenient hours including early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays
  • Prompt scheduling of each initial evaluation within 24-48 hours of the patient’s phone call
  • Ongoing patient education on diagnosis, treatment plans, and prescribed home-exercise programs
  • Clear, consistent communication between therapist, physician, and patient regarding progress
