“I’m an active musician in the city, performing at various street festivals during the summer. In May 2024, I tore my ACL on stage during a performance. At the time, I didn’t realize how serious the injury was. After receiving the diagnosis, I truly had no idea when—or if—I’d be back on stage.
I had seen so many videos of people documenting their recovery after ACL reconstruction surgery, and to be honest, it really scared me. But I knew surgery was the best option. Once I made that decision, I began physical therapy at Athletico Andersonville South.
I never imagined I’d build such a trusting and valuable relationship with every single person at this clinic. From day one, I never left a session without a smile. The constant support from the Athletico team kept me positive and motivated through every step of recovery.
At six weeks post-op, I was able to perform again—with my knee brace! It was definitely a different experience than I was used to, but I was so grateful to be back on stage so soon. From that point on, I stayed consistent with my sessions and at-home exercises.
Now, almost a year later, I’m back doing what I love. The entire Athletico team came to support me at my most recent show, and it truly reminded me that I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.”
