CJ (Christopher Detrich) has been an absolutely amazing and vital addition to the Ferndale team. He just recently hit his one year anniversary with Athletico. During his time with us he has shown tremendous growth and continues to successfully take on roles and responsibilities that are not normally part of a rehab aide’s job duties. However, CJ loves a challenge and is always willing to help no matter how trivial or complicated the task at hand is, as long as it is beneficial to the clinic or patients. With every task he performs, he consistently goes above and beyond what is expected and required of him. He knows how to perform most front desk duties, and with any free time in the clinic, he never hesitates to ask our OC, myself, or the other PTs what he can help. I have worked with a dozen or so techs in my career thus far, and no one comes close to CJ’s knowledge, work ethic, and selflessness. He puts the needs of the patients and the clinic before anything else. He truly cares about our patients and their success with PT. I can honestly say that CJ is a big factor in the Ferndale clinic’s success. Patients constantly tell me how much they appreciate CJ and how impressed they are with him. He has never missed a day of work and consistently comes in early or stays late if he is needed without complaints. Not only does CJ help provide excellent patient care in the clinic, he also spends many evenings and weekends researching new exercises for patient’s who are beginning to plateau or are not progressing as expected. He has sent me many exercises with specific patients in mind that myself or our other therapists did not think of, and many of these have proven beneficial to the patient. I look forward to helping CJ get into PT school, and I can’t wait to continue to watch him grow into an amazing man and therapist.
