Happy Valentine’s Day! For the second week of our partner stretches we will be performing an Assisted Upper Front Body Stretch. You and your partner will feel this stretch in the chest, underarm area and triceps.
For January’s last stretch of the week, we will be performing a Shin Massage with a Foam Roller. This is also an abdominal exercise, so you will get two for one with this stretch!
For the fourth week of January, we will be performing a Kneeling Shin Stretch with a foam roller.
For the third week of our shin series we will be performing a Side Lunge Shin Stretch. You will feel this stretch in your inner thigh muscles as well as in the muscles from the bottom of your knee to the top of your foot.
For the second week of January, we will be performing a Curtsy Shin Stretch. You will feel this stretch in the muscles from the bottom of your knee to the top of your foot.

For 2017’s final stretch, we will actually be performing a self-massage. You will need a tennis ball or something similar, as well as the corner of a wall to perform this Trapezius Release technique.
For the third week of December we will be performing a Supine Trapezius Stretch. Supine means lying face up, so this stretch will be performed on the floor. It will stretch your Trapezius muscle, the smaller muscles along the side of your neck, and muscles of the chest.
For the second week of December, we will be performing the Self Trapezius Traction Stretch. You will feel this stretch in your upper trapezius, the muscles in the side of your neck and also a little bit into your bicep.
The holidays can be stressful and many of us hold our stress in our shoulders, causing headaches and clenching of the jaw. This is why December’s weekly stretches will focus on the upper trapezius and muscles along the side of the neck.
