Course Description: This course will cover flexor tendon injuries throughout the entire “life of the injury” from post-op day one through end of care. It will also present case studies of tendon injuries, and fractures with tendon involvement, in order to increase clinical decision making around when to include splinting for mobilization, electrical stim, and other difference makers in the course of care.
Course Objectives: Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Define the expected course of care for flexor tendon injuries
2. Show clinical reasoning skills to problem solve for cases that progress outside the expectations
3. Explain early and safe interventions to avoid complications and additional surgeries
