2021 Athletico Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Halloween is a BIG deal here at Athletico! From coordinated costumes in-clinic to trick-or-treating at our Resource Center, our team embraces this holiday as part of our one-of-a-kind culture. This year, clinics across the 13 states we serve submitted their best-decorated pumpkins to our annual pumpkin decorating contest. To avoid injuries and horrific Halloween mishaps, we encouraged our team of crafty clinicians to decorate instead of carving their pumpkins. (more…)

Your beautiful bundle of joy has made their debut, and all you want to do is snuggle your precious little one, or your little seems always to want to be close to you. If this sounds like your situation, I can 100% relate because I have a five-month-old and a 2.5-year-old. I treat upper extremity injuries, and I never considered the importance of body mechanics when lifting and carrying my little ones until I started to experience the aches and pains of loving on my precious little ones at all hours of the day and night. How Your iPhone Can Help Decrease Your Risk of Falling

With advancements in technology, detecting a fall is easier than ever! Apple Watches have been able to detect a fall for some time, a feature automatically added for anyone 55 years and older. Emergency medical response teams may even be called based on one’s movement, or lack thereof, after the impact or fall. However, the latest feature – Walking Steadiness – available on the Apple iOS 15 update now allows the phone to send you a notification related to the steadiness of your walking.
